Mac online poker players who currently play at Pacific Poker's Macintosh online poker room question when Party Poker will become Mac compatible. Party Poker replies with grim futures for Mac poker at Party Poker. Upon contacting the support team about this issue Party Poker responded that there are no imminent plans to become Mac compatible.

Many reasons that contribute to Party Poker not becoming compatible is due to extremely expensive software upgrades, and Mac users do not take up a large part of the market - only 4% of the overall computing market as a whole. Party Poker did say that they were looking into the Mac online poker market for possible upgrades in the software.

If the expected revenues out weigh the future revenues for building the software then they will not continue to build an online poker software for Mac users. Pacific Poker is a leader in the Mac online poker market and it is in their best interest that Party Poker stays far away from this market. Whether Party Poker will play by Pacific Poker's rules or make its own remains to be seen.
